The Fralick's are a family from here in Toronto. They have been designing and selling plans for all types of small racing hydros. One day Id love to build a D Stock or something... Imagine spanking some of the bigger boats up at the cottage in one of these!!!

Both the xs motors only come with the shorty mid but they stock 25hp and classic 45 and 50 powerheads. Plus that lower has 1:1 gears in it i believe. Crankbearing on this site is making them last i heard he's making eveything new except l/u casing but he's goon have them soon.

Blizz

Not sure on weight diff between the two but i know it still takes two to muscle it around. You could also try a 2 cyl slomc or a 35/40 2cyl merc

Ragu , Mine was buillt in patchogue. I had to go upstate to larchmount to get it though. I live 10 minutes from the guy who builds them I have seen them with 40s and the go good. I saw someone with a 50 and never saw it go. The weight difference between the 40 and 50 is only a few pounds. If extra pounds are ok fro Jerry its Ok for me. My Boat need some help. As soon as i finish my boat then I will get to the mini. I'm looking for 15inch mid for my fifty. If not its getting a jack plate.

Bash: PLANT FLOWERS is that what you old guys do in the winter when the boats are out. I can see Jerry with a green thumb but Bash!

Yours had a longer journey than mine. I think I'm going to pull the deck and get rid of the hump from the bulkhead. I saw a boat in the ac boat show. it was a streched mini hawk 13ft. No bulkhheads, just a solid floor front to rear. I have given it some thought also. It looked much neater inside.

Jay when I can climb over my debri i'll take pics for you. Did you ever get the ecu's you wanted?

Ragu, when you pull the deck just take cardboard rolls from wrapping paper. cut them in half lay them on the inside of the deck and glass over them. the half moon fiberglass shape will stiffen the deck and not add much weight. if your core the deck and sides the boat will gain allot of weight. you can do that to the hull sides as well. I 'm doing that to mine. I know the deck is thin as sh-t and I want my kids to be able to stand on it. Do you work in the boat business. If not let me know I can get the materials at cost from a distributer in Deerpark.

Supa, do you have to give them specs and parimeters or can you just tell them i want them made into 250's. Do you have a 2 butterfly intake or 4. if you want I did allot of research on these and if you want, I'll Give you some help. I need a 300 fuel and I was going to have my 250 reprogrammed also.

Viper, I just work on boats for fun, not a living. The time it takes me to do things on boats i would starve. Its funny you said that i could use 1/2 moon cardboard and glass over. I'm a plumber and i was thinking of 1/2 mooning pvc pipe. the deck on mine is real weak and like you i want to remove that bulkhead that makes the deck bow. if cardboard would make the deck rigid i will definatley use pvc mooned instead of divincyl for cost and weight. if you want to use pvc also, I will cut you pieces. i would assume the strips of pvc should run bow to stern and not port to starboard? I will definatley take you up on the offer for materials. do you live in massapequa also?

viper15
02-21-2006, 08:16 PM
I live in farmingville. But I grew up in Copiague, I'm in copiague all the time. You do not need pvc. all you need the cardboard for is to hold shape to the glass until it hardens. The curved fiberglass is the support. They will run bow to stern. I can help you and show you what to do. I'll Pm you my phone #.
