Picked up my hull Saturday. Hung the motor on it today just to see what I was up against mating my 140 Inline to the jack plate. Looks like it will fit nicely with no mods to the jackplate as it is wide enough to catch the tilt/trim rams. Now I gotta center it and drill the holes, rewire everything and finish all the small details. Yo Skipper, if you get some time (that's funny!) you should swing by and take a looky see. I'm gonna snag the digital camera from work so I can snap some pics. I think you'll like it. The ol' 140 looks good sittin back there!

Hey Shorepounder what plate are you using? I need a plate
that will fit a clamp style bracket and still have room to mount
the trim rams. If you have any pic's I'd like to see them.
Thanks Brock:D

I'll get you some pics of the jackplate. This one is wide enough (I jumped up and down and did a few victory laps) to accomodate the trim rams. It's going to be close down at the bottom bolt holes because of how narrow they are in comparison, but I think it will still work. I've got it hanging for now by the clamps with 2x4 blocks for spacers to give the clamps something to grab. This is just temporary until I get the motor centered and the holes drilled.
Skip, I get home between 4:30 and 5:00 most days. I'll be taking some digital snapshots this evening (weather permitting). But swing by anyway if you can. Both wiring harnesses arrived and are sitting in the back seat of my truck. I'm gettin anxious now. :D :D

No really I mean it this time. It helps to hit the attach button instead of the submit button. (putting the beer down)
