What is the best camera for 350? Any opinions on Fuji cameras?

Fuji is alright. I think you'll get better results from any Nikon Coolpix or Canon Power Shot.

Thanks.;) Do you know which has highest shutter speed? I had a fuji s3000 It was pretty good. 6x zoom 3.2 mp. I am looking for the best camera for action shots, I know my options are limited by my budget though

Shutter speed is not really an issue with cameras in that price rance. They will all be extremely limited for action shots, but any model should get you by.

It seems to have favorable user reviews: http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/read_opinions.asp?prodkey=fuji_finepixs5200z

your biggest problem is going to be shutter lag.time between pushing the shutter button and when the picture is taken. this web site actually measures the time.

i agree with nikon and canon being the beat picture wise in the point and shoot.

for size pentex or ciasco are good but medium shutter lag.

thanks for the link...I have one question, whats SLR?

SLR = Single Lens Reflex or dSLR (digital). It's a camera design that allows interchangeable lenses, and uses a pentrprism or pentamirror to sight the subject through the lens. All pros use SLR cameras. They offer the best speed and image quality, but cost considerably more - good lenses alone can cost a few thousand dollars each.

The Fuji that I am looking at can use wide angle and telephoto lense

a lot of point and shoot cameras well accept add on lens. these screw on to the threads on the end of the lens. its best to get the 10 or 12x stabilized point and shoot camera then to add these lens.

this is different than on the slr where the whole lens is changed out. the slr's are getting down to the $600 price range, but watch out for lens availablility. nikon, canon of fugi[ uses nikon lens] have lots of lens and companies suppling lens. the others are limited.
