Can't take it no mo' Looking to get out of Michigan maybe friday. Jumping in the motorhome and I'm not stopping untill it's at least 75 degrees. Anyone know of any nice quiet campground on some good boating waters? Kissimmee and south preferably.

Well, the NICEST campground in FLodida is at Disney. But it's big $$$, If ya make it to the keys American Camper is Nice. Lots of Nice parks in the Ocala Area as well. Other camprgrounds in Kissimee are good KOA, also at Old Town (St Cloud/Kissimee, But more of the wide open variety. Nice one is Sarasota, but I dont recall the name. In St Pete ther is Fort Desoto State park, on the edge of Tampa Bay/Gulf of Mexico, in the Shadow of the Sunshine Skyway, Historacal, Parki is Huge, campground is just a small part, close to everything, on the water ond real nice but no pets.
Probably need reservations to get in there.

It is going to be in the 70's in central FL by then. Check out this site. The Harris chain is good boating. It goes for miles.

If you don't mind salt water (I never go in it myself) a real nice camp ground in South Melbourne Beach is "Long Point" on A1A , 17 miles south of Rt 192 . They have a ramp and fresh water to hose off everything. You can boat the Indian River up and down the east coast and explore the many islands. But as Skip said, it would be better if you could schedule your trip to be in the Kissimmi/St Cloud area the weekend of March 16-17 for our Hot Boat Meet at the Alligator Chain.

1600 sites, heated pool, tennis, fitness center, $245.wk full hookup water sewer elec cable. 5 miles from Sarasalty Bay & my salty Vector. Ya'd never know my boats ever seen salt, clean & flush 15 min. cleans it right up. Am goin to the alligator chain 3/16. (2hrs. from here?) Man when I used to travel around the country in my homemade camper made outta a UPS truck it used ta cost $3-$5 a day fer a full hook up. (1977-78) Ta me, at the time, a 20amp elec. cord, a shower & a washin' machine was heaven! When I was on the road ya improvised:rolleyes:if ya know what I mean:eek: Campgrounds were dirt cheap. Now you could stay at the Wellsley Hotel fer that kinda money! Another is Sarasota Lakes RV Resort $181.00 wk. (941) 355-8585;)

NOPE. Back'emdown danno. My boat is laid up pretty light and it not goin' in the ocean, but up to any inland action. Got a crappy motor on it now, but it runs 92 or so. The night before I leave I'll post and see where it goes. I need some "no mind time". Winter madness has set in. Dog's bored, I'm bored. :( As soon as the part arrives for my carb I'm out.
