I was looking at pics of the rally, and saw a guy being taken off a rescue boat on a backboard with a collar on his neck.

What happened?

Was it speed related, or alcohol related?

One of the Martin brother blew over in a tunel V . Lazer if I recall . Rich Martin 018:confused:

He was o.k. , just a little banged up and a few stitches. He hit a roller running in to the wind and blew over. I think he was running around 60.

Hmmmm.........so, under the right conditions, a boat CAN blow over at only 60 MPH ?

Under the right conditions a boat will go over at 10 mph . I watched a member of the board here getv a Allison so nose high that when he shut the thotle off the boat went tail in . I'd almost be willing to bet it hit the bottom and that's the only thing kept it upright .:rolleyes: Rich Martin 018

To much up trim with a real stiff head wind . Nose of the boat went up ,air got under it . Didn't go over , but was on it's way . It was near vertical when he shut off the gas and the boat went down backwards about 3to4 ft deep . I was coming back in after my class had run and he was rushing out for his class . Rich Martin 018
