That's a really cool looking plane Troy. Good job on building it.
On simulators - I think they are great for basic orientation and learning controls, but there is a difference in real flight. If you put enough time on the sim, you should be ok on your maiden flight. It also depends on the sim you're using - I'm using RealFlight, which is supposed to be great. I can fly inverted with it on a heli, but I'm not so sure I can do that in real life.
Chad, that's really cool. I like how the mSR propels itself across the water. That's so awesome. I wonder how hard it would be to make a small propeller shaft that's gear-driven off the main gear.
Ralph, keep practicing - this is only the beginning

That's right, Troy... Get some pictures of it first while still in one piece!!!

I've been having fun with this cheap Honey Bee CP3 lately. This heli flies so well and it has retired my Falcon 40.

Thanks Greg! I took your advice and got the real flight basic. I can also fly the helicopters BUT i cant figure out how the heck to get them still again once their moving to land the things LOL The slightest movement at landing signals a crash.... I'll stick with the planes for now!
HaHaHa ! Your one to talk Thanks for the encouragement
My main goal on my maiden will be NOT to crash this thing but at $50 for a new airframe it wont hurt so bad if i do
I will take some pics after my maiden or have my son take some pics when its landing and hopefully it will be in one piece....Ron Paul 2012 Because its an election, not a Cult...

If you crash this heli while landing, just pick it back up and try again.

Is that the little one you have in the pool Pyro ? How do they not break when the blades hit the ground spinning ? That Helimax Rotofly i had cost $20 every time the blades hit the ground. It would bust a $18 dollar part in the rotor assembly every time it left the ground but i know there had to be something wrong with that thing. I should have bought a new one and not purchased my "buddy's" junk! lol Do they come with those lights in them? I might give them a try pretty soon. I'm getting better on the simulator but not good enough to spend any money on another one yet! Way, Way, WAY harder to fly than the planes......

Really cool videos Chad. Be careful you don't hit someone's car with that thing
You should look into the Walkera CB100 - I think you'll really like it. It's double-brushless and handles much like the mSR, though it's twice the weight and has a bit less stabilization which makes it pretty fun to fly.

Greg, I see you are building a fleet.
You guys check out this tool box. I think I need about 3 of them!

Paul, I need one of those - that's a nice toolbox. I have some of the Sterilite plastic containers I use for all my parts. The helis have been a great way for me to take a quick 15 minute break away from the computer, so I've really taken to them. It's just nice to walk away and do something other than watch TV.
Check this out - the world's first CCPM coaxial heli, driven by an single brusheless motor. This thing is a beast, and complex as heck.

That looks like a slick bird, Greg. So I guess since the main rotors are run off one motor, the tail rotor controls yaw? Lot of cool looking alloy parts!
