115hp Mounting Failure on 2005 engine???
Has anbody had a mounting failure on their outboard. I have had it twice in the last year. the bolts have pulled through the mounting plate!! cheers will

never seen that efore but it sounds like they were either toloose and working back and forth OR over tightned and cracked the housing.. is this on an aluminum boat by chance..

Hi, No it was on a 6 m RIB. Apparently the mounting is not strong enough to take the waves properly. I think it should be a warranty wha do you think cheers

aluminum transom or fiberglass??? some ribs have aluminum hulls... It MIGHT qualify for warranty BUT If I looked at it and the bracket was cracked from hole to hole or out side the surface of where the nuts were sitting it would be void because of installation error OR user abuse.. if it is installer error the dealer who installed it could be held liable rather than the manufacture.. engine brackets dont generally fail..
