    Awesome!!!! It'sreally happening now!

I have just spent the morinig on my project 13B Rotary turbo outboard (for those of you who don't know). Finished the final points of the bellhousing that is now completely ready and completely ROCKS!! Have also finished organizing the inlet and exaust manifolds, and although I cannot reveal too much detail now, I can say that I'm soooo excited I cannot contain myself! It is totally awesome! I will have photos from late January and will be testing by late February. Those of you who find this project interesting will be up for a real treat very soon.

Don't sell it to Mercury, we will not be able to afford there price!

    Market it yourself!

There have been advancements in Rotaries.

New products have been developed just in the last 6 months, and the intake manifold is a dream! How does 350hp @ 6psi boost sound like?? All I'll say is that it may not be feeding the motor from the side plates . Very neat and very very effective.

Cobalti, this is an amazing project! I wonder if merc, or any other OB manufacturers for that matter, are checking in on this?
How do you plan on selling this, I assume you will be selling these after your huge investment, as a kit, powerhead or complete OB?
Any idea what price yet? Estimate

    Very cool

How are you doing on seals? My RX7 used to "burp" fuel into the oil supply when I ran the thing hard though I had removed the boost control and modified everything from ports to intake.

There's a guy in Northern Illinois named Chap Waters that has been playing with a rotary for the last couple years. Last I heard he was over 800 HP but was having problems with whatever he was using for a lower unit. He gets hot on it and then gets sidetracked with other projects. Maybe someone from up his way can give an update???

    920Hp @ About 7000rpm

That is what Anthony from Maztech is up to on his 2 rotor drag car @ the rear wheels!

THe gear box is the limiting factor on an outboard. I'm starting with my sport master, and 20" offshore leg, but I have a 12" brewing and a shifting speedy to make your mouth water on the back burner.

Power delivery is unlike what we are used to. It is a touch of a button on the dash. Change boost oand fuel/spark map as you feel. The rest you can guess. The difference is that torque doesn't drop as RPM increases. How that will feel I can only guess.

This has definitely been a HUGE investment (with every possibility that it will not work), it has kept me dry for nearly 3 years, and nearly lost interest there for a while as it all got too difficult. It is almost like a calling, and nothing else matters not loosess or profit, it just has to get done. I can't explain it.

Will I market it? Yes. But not really for profit, only to move on to the next phase. Such as a purpose mid section, and hopefully a full on gear box.
