Whatever the year (73, 74,75 or 76) it looks like a pretty wild ride. It is the only twin v-6 tunnel race boat that I have seen . I wonder how it ran? Would it run with the singles?

Other wild one off creations that I am aware of are the merc two powerhead wizard that Hauenstein put together and the twin v-8 engine Moly that Renato tried to run un Unlimited.

Molinari built a 20 footer and put twin ccc's on it in an attempt to win his home (Italian) race in Milan. Dang thing was fast on the straights but Seebold, with the help of all of his teammates running Molinari all over the course, prevailed!

As the story goes he parked his boat after the race tossed his helmut and jumped in his car and sped away. All of the Italians booed him for that one!

    Havasu.....

Raced about a dozen of the APBA classes all together (tunnels and vees) and I believe shortened to 2 hours on Sat. and 2 hours on Sunday.
Thank you, that's what I was trying to figure out.

Amen.....For me to get in that twin V6 Jones, it would have required the aid of a 2 x 4...... wedged firmly behind the foot throttle!

Have to jump in here and tell you, Renato did not want to run that boat and was very unhappy about it, but the OMC top brass insisted. Molinari was hero worshipped in Italy and was mortally wounded when the fans turned against him.
This is what i always complained about in OMC's F1 series, it was open ended and did not have a formula. If some clown wanted to put 10 V8's across the transom------it was OK to do so. Wrong way to go, but no one was listening especially the UIM and Herr Fraulin. Took a while to repair the damage done by that series.

Does anyone have any pics of this boat? Must have had some pretty awesome acceleration!

I have only seen two pics of Molinari's twin CCC rig. One is in Kevin Desmond's book, "Powerboat-The Quest for Speed Over Water". The other was a pic of it hanging on the crane, it was here on another thread.

I have that book, found it in a wholesale book store about 10 years after it went out of circulation. Lots of old pics and behind the scenes stories.
