Valero trailer setup
I am putting my 1984 Valero on a Roadrunner tandom axle trailer that held a 19' tunnel boat. The boat is on a Hustler trailer now that was the original one. Can the bunks on the tandom axle be flat and I just make sure the are the same distance apart and length as the Hustler? The Hustler trailer bunks are adjustable as far as angle but I just dont see any angle to them.Any body with any experience give me some advise?

set the bunks flush to the inside of the second strake from the pad( center of the V protion) that way you not only are supporting the hull properly 1/4-1/2-14 but it gives you the self centering ability when cumming on to the trailer.. PERSONALLY I would use tandem bunks so weight was caried over more area myself... My EZloader trailer under my valero is getting a second set of bunks and center rollers so it is supported over the pad, and the outermost strake( right under the float boxes)( and inner most strake)(STRINGERS) and I should be able to load it in ANY wind or current

no you cant do it. You have to fix the sleekcraft and put it back on the tunnel trailer. How are you making out with that?

Sleekcraft...
After digging into the Sleek found out transom was torn from bottom.Cap was shifted. Many holes...Insurance paid well and gave me the remnants of the Sleek. I watched as landfill employees flipped a coin to see who ran over it with the dozer. Put the new components left from the Sleek all on this Valero. Its a hoot!

I have 4 bunks on mine. 2 up in the deepest part of the tunnel and 2 angled just out side the pad. I also have 3 rollers up the middle although only really use 1 up front on the keel. The other 2 are just a piece of mind when loading.

COPY GREGS TRAILER EXACTALLY that is how mine is and I also have rollers supporting the pad and gives a centerline to hit at the ramp..
My fissin boat is also that way and I can load perfectly straight without guidons in 50 mph crosswinds and 2' chop on the trailer.. set shallow and power on at WOT.. doesnt matter the conditions.. and it works well for long term storage as well.. my fissin boat sits for 3 months over the winter due to it bein snow bound and have had ZERO problems.. I also used TREX decking with a 1/4" steel plate under it for support so never have a rot or maring issue on the aluminum of our fissin boat, the hydrostream will have carpet cause its softer..Last edited by npartin; 11-15-2005 at 12:16 PM.
