    unknown boat....need your help

I just got this boat and no nothing about it.. all I know is that it has a 1962 40hp johnson, tunnel hull in front going to flat bottom. It is 14' long, 5' wide and transom is 18" deep. It needs some reworking of the glass and wiring is being replaced. I am wanting to know what kind, year, how they handle. Basicly would it be worth the effort to rebuild it or sell it? I have it stripped down to the hull to start glass repairs. any info would be helpful or if some one wanted to buy it....

Looks like a Carlson Contender, or it could be an Ebco knockoff. Could be a really nice boat especially if you DO NOT have to paint it, unless someone has beat you to it.

    Try this link:

(I couldn't get it placed right - with those 2 images the link kept being hard to find.)

A few unrestored Carlsons have been given away for free here on Screamandfly and some have been sold for a few hundred dollars. Your location may play as much a factor as anything else.

    Riverrat,
Is the basic color of the boat blue metalflake, and is there any trace of the name "Blue Light" painted on the side?
If so, I knew that boat when it was new.
