The last time we faced with an enemy with this kind of mentality we were forced to raise the stakes until even a fanatical enemy could not sustain the losses. I hope reasonable people on the other side figure this out before we run out of other options.

I think it will.

The UK has a history of terrorist attacks (just think IRA), as well as being tough on potential muslim terrorists since 9/11. The latter has been challenged by left-wingers, but I believe (and hope) that the firmness will be increased.

After all, what this boils down to, is protecting civilization from attackers whose values come from the middle ages.

The question that nobody around the world seems to be asking is why these guys keep doing what they 're doing.Until we understand that, we'll continue to be in the middle of this crap.These 'guys' have wives +kids that they're ready to leave in the name of their ''cause''.The way they do their dirt makes them invisible.You can't blow them all up because you don't know who they are.If you take out the whole country you're worse than they are.My guess is they view us as the ones who are bad /evil etc in much the same way we see them.Until both are ready to sit down and talk like men there is no way to stop.We need to be prepared to listen to what they have to say before any thing will happen.To dismiss them as insane is a deadly error.These are intelligent well educated men with a very specific goal in mind.We need to understand that goal and look within ourselves to come up with a solution,even if it makes us uncomfortable.When I look at it ,the only motivation I can see for these types of acts is abject desperation.Until we determine what has caused it and work for a solution ,nothing will change

Intelligent well educated men. Geez you seem to know so much about these people that slaughter innocents on trains and at work. We've listened....convert...give up your life style..."come up with a solution even if it makes us uncomfortable". Man you are one sorry chump. I could go on for ever.......but this post is in memory of those lost to terrorist cowards.
