    prop help

A guy gave me a 19 pitch ss prop. It's in nice shape but the only problem with it is that it has a spun hub. It's an older prop so it doesn't havenew mercury hub system. It has the piece of rubber in it, well used to. I looked into having it rehubbed but they don't guarantee it. Is it worth getting rehubbed or looking for another prop? Also I was told that they can change this prop over to the new hub system. Has anyone ever heard of doing this? Is it worth it if so who do I send it to? Any help would be great.
    thanks chris

i haven't heard that you could change to the new hub system????

but i had the rubber hub replaced on several props. its about $45 in the seattle area and is a common fix. the new merc system is better that the rubber because if you carry a spare hub you can fix it your self.
