Seems like the boat manufacturing industry can't stay vital unless people like you aren't building affordable products to bring people into the addition. I doubt many people go out and buy a 47 Fountain as their first boat and both use it and keep it. The result seems to be that stupid/large boats float around the market and devalue that of a new boat to anyone who can't afford the status symbol of a brand new one. As that rolls downhill, well.... I think most folks here are prepared to buy boats by the six pack off the used market on affordability alone. But, like Merlin engines, that day will pass as well.
