    Those are not choppers

The props shown on e-bay are not choppers but thru hub cleavers as used on a bravo outdrive.

    I know!

The guy seems a little confused too... Mercury mirage stainless steel choppers????

Theres always cleavers advertised on ebay as choppers. I was looking for a cleaver a while back and noticed there was nearly more cleavers advertised as choppers than there was choppers, lol.

BTW, there is a nice 26 'chopper' on ebay at the moment. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...sPageName=WDVW

Thanks Adam, I refer people there sometimes, I noticed that the old site was down a couple weeks ago. Glad to see it's still around. Very cool info...

Yeah, it was drilled by the previous owner Chris Lacey. $200 plus shipping, or $250 shipping included.

Yeah, Mercury put a claim on "cleaver" too. I think "prior use" would disqualify that claim if Merc tried to enforce their rights to a name they didn't invent nor were the first to apply.

Also, regarding the topic of this post, it's important to indicate small-ear or big-ear when you're selling a chopper, since they're quite different. Posting the part number is helpful when the seller isn't sure. Of course, Adam's page (the link above) should clear that issue up...
