FYI, V-6 E-TEC
Just finished rigging and testing a 200hp E-TEC.
Very Impressive!.
Boat is a 1998 STRATOS 2180 CENTER CONSOLE. Rigging was very quik and simple. ( mutch ez'r than a FICHT).
This is by far the smoothest, quietest ,most powerfull production
V-6 engine, 2 stroke or 4 stroke that I have personaly ever tested.
Here are some test notes. Remember, this is a fishin boat! not an offshore racer!!
prop 17" omc sst
Idle in gear 500 rpm
61 dba @ the helm
4300 rpm nutral trim
36.9 mph
85 dba
wot 5966 rpm w/aprx 2 deg pos trim
51.1 mph
93 dba
VERY, VERY SMOOOOOOOOOOTH
