6" setback?.?.? Not sure what props everyone is running on them now, but dad always ran a HOSS or CHOPPER and had some pretty stellar results with them.. (93mph in the early 90s with a homemade 2.0 150...)

I have some inline choppers but I don't think they will hold together real long with this kinda power? It is on a 1.87 sportmaster. I had a Hoss that was on the STV that this engine came off of that I sold last year cause I didn't think I would need it! That's what I get for thinkin!

I was there that day at the Sacandaga with my 16' Baja with a 135. Saw so many great running Lasers I went and bought one.

Here's mine from the early 90's at a Harrisburg, PA race.

I wish I kept my brochure. I never take enough pictures of my old boats either.

They sure are fun to drive. I have a friend that has another one. I hope I get to drive his soon. Those were some great get togethers. They still have them in June. This year it is the 11th to the 14th. Most guys camp and hang out around Northamptom Beach.

I looked at your first pic and was like, wow, that looks like Sand Island. No, can't be, stuff just looks the same sometimes on that scale. Then I looked at you location . I hope to be floating around for this years non-event. It will be my first. I've been boating on the Sacandaga since my Grandpa and Dad took me out in mid 60's, but I just got turned on to this site last summer from the guy I bought the boat from

    86 ltv

One heck of a boat, motor built by tinker060 max speed 88.1 with fishing gear and 2 passengers...
One thing we found was that ours leaked between the top and bottom decks, took a few yrs. to figure that out but now it's under control!!!

I still have the brochure, the top 420 picture and the bottom picture on the right page with the Evinrude 200 XP was my boat with me driving. The pictures were taken off of Massapequa Cove heading toward the Amity Cut on the Great South Bay. The brochure was printed January 1990.

I am new here and my husband and I just bougtht an 82 Laser bass boat in excellant
condition. It also had been in storage for years. It still sits on the Oklahoma trailer it
came on. It has a 175 Merc on it and it will get up and fly. One problem when we put the power to it water comes over the sides and wets us down bad. prop is a 23.
Plus can you tell me where I can buy so9me new Laser decals. Trust me the people with their new fancy boats here in the North do not even know what a Laser is.
Any help we would be appreciated. I hope I did this right.
