Ad deleted. That was a nice one. I've always been interested in them too.
You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift. You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong. You cannot help the wage earner by pulling down the wage payer. You cannot further the brotherhood of man by encouraging class hatred. You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich. You cannot keep out of trouble by spending more than you earn.

Laser LTV and steering torque
The LTV and Merc 2.4 Mod VP motor and chopper prop were built for the Mod VP circle racing in the 1980's. Therefore these boats run in an anti clockwise direction so they are always turning to port. The CLE lower unit that was installed at the time had a small torque tab built in.
I have an original boat like the above and experience very serious steering torque when trying to turn to port at speed. How did they manage steering torque back then?

I would think at least 7,500 or so. Don't see many left that clean looking so there isn't much to compare it to.

I joined the laser owners club last week. I bought a 1988 19ft laser with a blown up 2.5 on it. I have a powerhead to swap onto it, do I should hopefully on the water in the next few weeks. I am not sure what model it is. The owner said it ran right around 80 before blowing up. What props do these hulls like? it a vee bottom. It has a 19p on it now hence the melted piston. I was thinking 26p? Chopper?
