    Our Laser LTV

Here's a short video from Memorial Day and a picture from Father's Day 2015. Our boat was built in July 1987 (1988 Model), it's been in the family since it was built and my son has already claimed it if I ever decide to let it go.

Currently it's a 2.0L 150 block with EFI (center horn) and a PCU. Best speed so far is ~83mph with a passenger. Still doing some setup work and shooting for 90mph with no passenger.

The motor isn't a stock carb. motor, but the block ports are. It's a bone stock block that I added a 7 peddle front half and center horn EFI and I'm running a PCU. A bunch of people know me on here, I'm not someone that lies about my speed. It does what it does.

The goal is 90, it's definitely possible but will take more setup work (and probably a light load of fuel). I have 18psi at full throttle so I have plenty of motor height to play with.

Sounds like a neat setup. What are you running for setback, prop, lower? Do you know what the hull weighs vs a regular layup 380?

The boat was an old ModVP raceboat, it has a kevlar hull. I think it was around 500lbs originally but I made it a little heavier with the rebuild. It's significantly lighter than a normal 380, you can clearly see it when you look at how high it floats in the water.

    setup:
    Setback - 6 or 8", I forget.
    200 lower w/nose cone 1.87 gear
26p chopper with a hoss type cut. (not a great prop, but it runs)
The best I've got so far was about 6600rpm.

I ran a bone stock Omc 150 ficht with a low water pick up only to 85 mph gps on my ltv with a 32 pitch on the limiter, I would not doubt with proper setup a 2.0 merc could not do the same.
