Thanks will do. What kind of speeds are you seeing with the etec? I am going to toss a straight edge on the bottom when it comes out for the year to make sure it is straight, not sure if its true but I've heard some of these boats had a hook to em.

I will be running my 83 LTV next weekend in bainbridge. It Lloyd Burns old "Over The Hill Gang" boat. It's stamped race boat and appears to be the 7th one built. I've been searching for old pictures of this boat when Lloyd raced it but not found any. Boat still looks as it did when he bought it new and still has the OTHG and KDBA stickers on it. If anyone has any please post!

Im seeing low 90's... I've been getting into 1/4mile drag racing with this boat so i haven't really seen its full potential as far as top end goes...

    Hi Laser owners,
I am new to Laser boats and need a little help identifying the model and year of the hull I purchased. I purchased what I believe to be a 1987 Laser LTV Bass Boat (hull ID CJM32558E787) with a 1992 EFI 200 hp Mariner. Is it possible to identify the hull model and year using the hull ID? I appreciate any assistance.
    Thanks
    Todd

Anyone know where this Laser is? I would love to find it.

I tried to post this in the WTB forum but it would not allow me. I looked for the rules but could not find any so I apologize if I am offending anyone by posting this here.

I remember spending about every weekend and many week days with my father on a Laser LTV he had and always loved that boat. My mother kept it for a few years after he was killed but ended up selling it in the mid 90's. I know the boat went to Houston Texas but that is about all I know. For the past few years I have been looking for that boat or one like it. I found one a few years ago in Louisiana with the exact same color scheme. I lost contact with the guy and dont know if the boat ever sold. I still have a few pictures on that one I found.

Does anyone know where this boat is by chance. Anyone seen any others in this color scheme?

Looks nice, but check the floor/stringers very carefully. The Lasers are known to get wet especially in the rear where all the foam is. I bought a pristine looking Laser that looked very nice that I was planning on completely redoing anyways and when I took the boat apart it had completely rotted away stringers, just the fiberglass was left. They are good driving boats and fast.

So what did you get the Johnrude up to? I used to have a 2.6 GT on my Hydrasport X-270 and it was super fast

Bob, I was running a 30 Mazco RE3. Got 79 mph out of it. Now it jus an old flatback XP 150, nothing near what the old 2.6 GT was! I would love to build one of those for it one day with an evenfire crank!!

Getting hard to find them now. I just bought a Laser 3880 check it out on my profile. Hope to run it this weekend and see what she will do with a 30" Chopper.
