What prop are you running? What RPM? Got a picture of the rigging? Is it on a jack? I have always run 380Rays but Im sure if you give some info some of the STV guys will tell you what to do.

You may be close to what that engine will do. Post a picture of back of boat with engine jacked to about where you run it.

That bass motor is really about 165 hp,you can spin it 6500 for about five years if you treat it right.I think the windshield threw him off at first it kinda made you think hydrostream at first glance.Try a Mazco RE3 or4 on it but be careful with the trim button.I was wishin this had a windshield yesterday at 111mph.It was too rough for him to pull the trigger all the way.It has run 132mph.

JROBERTS, PM me the price you are thinkng. Thanks.
You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift. You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong. You cannot help the wage earner by pulling down the wage payer. You cannot further the brotherhood of man by encouraging class hatred. You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich. You cannot keep out of trouble by spending more than you earn.

1984 Laser Boats of Texas brochure

Here are some blurry (sorry!) photos of a 1984 Laser Boats brochure:

    https://mega.co.nz/#!5FIUmLLY!Dys_Ei...nxwRHxiQYIAfis

I worked there during the summer of 1984 at first mixing paint (gelcoat), cleaning, waxing and taping molds and then switched to the hull crew after the paint guy lost his temper at me.

    Wink

Finally got my laser project mostly done. Its an 86 380, 225x, stainless marine 4.5" setback, spinning a 28 pro et on the limiter with a best of 86.9 gps. It does have a bit of a porpoise problem above 50 mph but flattens out above 70. Click image for larger version.

Lookin good^^^ Try putting like 15-20lbs under the bow... My 380 with the E-Tec bounces in that speed range as well, i put 18lbs under the bow and it made it much better w/o hurtin top end...
