OMC Looper crankshaft nut head size?

What size is the flywheel hold down nut on one of these things? Non of my sockets at the house would fit it, so I'm diggin' through the box here at work and I figured it would be easier to ask than to carry home a bunch of big sockets.

    Thanks up front.

My socket is 1 15/16" for the flywheel. Better use the impact wrench for the removal.. B BURT

    What rev said

1 7/16". A snap on socket fits with no mod, but any of these auto part type sockets we've had to trim the outside a little. The last snap on socket I bought was under $30.00 and the auto part store one was just about the same.

    Flywheel nut

Sorry about previous reply.. I need to proof read. My 1977 3-holer J-rude takes a 1 5/16" socket to remove it. B BURT

Thanks everybody. I got it. Proto sockets fit right in there too.

Now we get to tear it down and figure out why the big end of #5 let go.
