I dont know who builds these,

But there for sale everywhere around hear. When I read Alan Powers post I just drove down the road and took a couple of photos. If you want I can try to find out who the manf. is. They have alot of different sizes and styles to choose from. I know they start at around $600 and go up, But even the big double models arent to expensive. I think they normally include construction in the cost. It only takes them a couple hours to set one up. My neibor has one he uses for a machine shop, and It works out great. He just put in a concrete slab and gave them a call. He was moving in the mill and lathe a week later. Like I said before, It can be an instant garage.

Yea, I want one, if I can get it for under $1000. Do they have them fully enclosed?

Smile There everywhere here in S.C.

I know they will close the sides in But Im not sure about the ends. I feel sure they would but, all the ones I've seen enclosed where done by the owners. A freind of mine is going to buy one and install chain link fence around it and put a double gate on the front for his boat, lawn mower, and other stuff. I think it will work out good.

Mike, I think I could buy a double hear under a $1000 But I'll check and get you the info on the manf. If you have any trouble let me know. Im not sure how one whould do in the north with the snow and such But I think you could just add extra trusses and make it as strong as you want.

PS- like sswampratt said If you check the sales papers in your area you may come across something. I'll stop buy and pick up a brochure monday and mail it to ya. Just send me your address.

I can't find anything like that online.

I'm in NJ, we don't get THAT much snow. I would push it off the roof anyway.

What did they use to enclose the ones that you've seen enclosed?

they use the same metal thats on the roof

Ive seen some that framed it in useing 2X4's and some that used the same square tubing the frame is made of. they just weld up the end panels and put the metal on. I saw one with a roll up door that was awsome.

I LIVE WHERE WE GET A LOT OF SNOW.I AM USING THE TEMPORARY GARAGES THAT OVERTONS SELLS TO STORE MY SKATER.BASICALLY IT IS POLES WITH FITTED TARPS.WORKS GREAT.YOU DO NEED TO BE AROUND FOR THE SNOW AS THEY CANNOT TAKE A LOAD.3-4 INCHES OF SNOW AND NO MORE THAT THAT.I END UP JUST GOING INSIDE AND SHAKING THE STRUCTURE TO REMOVE THE SNOW.I AM NOW FIGHTING WITH MY TOWNSHIP AS THEY SAY I NEED A BUILDING PERMIT(75.00)AND A VARIANCE($500.00)TO KEEP IT.THEY SAY IT IS A FIXED STRUCTURE THUS ALL THE PAPER WORK.THEY REALLY JUST WANT THE FUNDS.AS IF $5000.00 A YEAR IN PROPERTY TAXES ISNT ENOUGH.I AM GOING TO FIGHT THEM AS ITS JUST A TENT AND NO WAY DO I NEED A PERMIT FOR A TENT.

Here in Georgia they are on every corner,

I have three friends that are dealers, give me a day or so and I will find out who sells the metal shelters in your area if I can, they usually will build the structure to suit, enclosing sides, front, and back, and even roll up doors. the basic size is 18x21 (just the roof covered) at $595 any other options go on up in price. and if you want to buy the building and put it up yourself subtract 10% off the addvertised price. Give me a day or so and I will try to get some more info.

    That would be great. Thanks.

I talked to a guy in Texas that advertises them on eBay. The price was good until I told him I wanted the two sides and back enclosed, that doubled the price, then shipping was $575.

    We sell 'em

I've got a demo model setting in front of our marine shop. The 18x21 footer sells for $595 installed. $40 for each additional foot in height over the standard 5ft (which is really 6 ft at the eve and 8ft in the center) $300 to close both sides, and $400 to close each end. $150 for a walk in door. 9x7 Drive door I think is $350. The company that makes ours, and they look exactly like the one in the pictures, is Coast to Coast Carports, Inc. Rt. 1 Box 1392 Knoxville, AR 72845. Toll free 866-267-3790. They have a manufacturing facility in Amarillo, TX.
They have distributers nationwide and warehouses and installers in almost every state. They also offer completely closed garages and shop buildings up to about 42 x 60 and you can join a couple together to make a 42 by 120 or more if you wanted.
I just sold 1 today, and 2 last week. They're everywhere here in the middle of the US. They seem to last pretty good in wind, snow, etc. In the last 2 years we've probably sold 75-100 of them and haven't had a problem yet.
