That does look like the one Bill Muncey raced at Beloit in 78 or 79 I was a kid it was just VP back then before mod Vp, dad was running an 18 Allison copy with a 235 cross flow and got the start that boat handled the rough water much better and tracked him down but just couldn't get around him, another lap or 2 it would have been all over, emuncey any relation? If so Bill was a childhood idol of mine in the atlas van lines boat. Matt

Hi Matt. Nice to meet you over this thread. Yes, Bill Muncey was my father. Thank you so much for being a fan of his. I remember this boat; or, one that looked just like it, which he also raced at the Lake Havasu and Parker Enduro races. It was a very pretty boat at the time; but, a handful from what I was told.

Nice to meet you and welcome to the site, we were a Glaston dealer at the time and I loved the looks of that boat with the added capsule style cover, and it had a pad where the normal cvx20's did not, I meet your dad at the Beloit race and again at thunder on the Ohio river I was 9 at the time and the unlimited hydro's were just awesome to watch, we had a gmc motor home and I think he did as well if memory serves me right. Would be awesome to see you get this boat and restore it to like the one your dad raced.

Oh goodness. It sounds like you had a great time. We might have crossed-paths at the Thunder on the Ohio event...those were such great times. I agree with you, I loved the look of that boat with that extra cover. Something about it made it look extra slick looking. Best, Edward

Hello my friend, what is the strongest speed achieved by the boat in 1991 and what is the engine?
