Were did you measure the diameter ?? outside or inside diameter ??
Since I have used the pitch * 68 to calculate the diameter, the outside diameter can't be used ... ? me used tha red line .
That makes the pitch closer to a more "regular" number of .3
Measured 1 tooth, it's pitch were 7.09 mm ( 0.2791 " )
To make a more exact measurement I used some math .
- Between 3 teeth - 21.31 mm, this gives - 21.31 / 3 = 7.10333 mm
- Between 6 teeth - 42,17 mm, this gives - 42.17 / 6 = 7.02833 mm
- Between 13 teeth - 91,72 mm, this gives - 91.72 / 13 = 7.05538 mm
- Between 16 teeth - 112.91 mm, this gives - 112.91 / 16 = 7.05687 mm
7.10333 mm
+7.02833 mm
+7.05538 mm
+7.05687 mm
=28.24391 / 4 = 7.0609775 or 0.27799" my guess .280"
This gives me the belt diameter ( 68 x 7.0609775 mm = 480.14647 mm or 18.903" ) .
The outside diameter will then be 480.14647 / (2 x 3,14 ) + 1.8 (belt thickness between teeth ) X (2 x 3.14 ( pi) ) = 491.45620 mm or 19.3486" on a NEW belt .
Sorry about the metric numbers, to bad the US still uses those antique useless inches , It's time to take the step in to the future .....
Hmm, does all the nonsense (calculations) men I got nothing better to do ??

I was following this post and did a search for belts.I found a link to several manufacters with forms for ordering custom belts. Sent the same specs listed here for a run of 50 belts and got replys that didn't address my request and lists of there current inventory. However today I recieved an email from the rep for Gates Canada saying he will be in Regina next week and would like to meet with me to discuss these belts. So I guess what I need to know from all of you are the number of belts and acceptable price. It may be an unrealistic cost ,but if you don't ask you'll never know.Try to give me your numbers and pass this on to anyone you know with a T2 or T2X . Maybe we can find out how many of these beasts are still out there.Water very hard here yesterday -53C with the windchill thats -60odd F DAM COLD .Glen

Here are a couple of youtube links to my Ally with T-1 running last Summer. Some of you guys have already seen them. The videos were taken from the boat with my camera by my terrified wife, but they're still not bad. I'm going to get some higher quality video this Summer from the shore.

If someone here buys it, I would like to have that broken gear case. No surprise that a 70 or 80 hp Speedmaster busted under that powerhead ... should have had a Super
