Does anyone out there have a lead on any T2/T2X timing belts. I thought I saw someone on this site who was trying to locate some or have them fabricated. I have a T2 I want to put on a 15' Allison to run this year but I have no spare belts. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

T2 timing belts
Try contacting Zonkercraft on this board. I think he was looking into having some made at one time. If that is possible, I will want several of them myself, for my Twisters. I am very close to completion of my T2X on a 16 Ally and could use some spare belts as well. Let me know if you need any help with setup, props etc.

I have at least one spare N.O.S. belt that I would be willing to trade towards a T2X exhaust adapter.

T2X exhaust adapter.
If I had a second spare adapter, I would let it go. As you know, they are as scarce as hens teeth. My son has mine and is currently working on building one in CAD to make one on a CNC. Looks like we can do it, but will take some time. Will keep you posted on progress.

Thanks, I am getting ready to try to make one myself. I have one but need 2. At least I have a pattern.

Anyone got any tech data on the timing belt ??
Like :
- Pitch
- Number of teeth
- With
- Diameter
- Mercury part # ( know it's NLA )
- Are there any other types of belts that will work ??
Currently looking for a couple myself + some for a friend restoring a T2X.

The belt is 19 1/2 " long. It is 3/8" wide. It has 68 teeth. One of them also has the number 46 on it. No part # on the box or belts.

I know, but what's the pitch on the regular belt then .
Played a little with some old standard belts and found some numbers:
68 teeth as largecar91 now confirmed
Pitch = 7,065 mm ( 0.27815" )
68 teeth x 7,065 (pitch) = 480,42 mm ( diameter measured at the bottom of the teethes on the belt )
Doesn't fit any industrial belts I have seen .

I said that wrong. The length is 19 3/4" not 19 1/2. I counted the teeth about 10 different times. It is 68. I put it next to a regular belt and it is the same except length.

That makes the pitch closer to a more "regular" number of .3

Timing Belts
Thanks Custom Performance 1 for the advice. I too have no spare exhaust adapters for the T2X; My engine is mounted on the T2 tower housing.
If I break my only T2 belt I will be out of business on this engine and I really would like to run it on the 15' Ally this summer.
