Johnson 225, temp send unit install ??
I have twin 89 Johnson 225 v6's....want to install electric water temperature sending units and gauges.
Anyone have any input on where to drill and tap a sending unit ?
Thermostat housing is pretty small....however that would be the ideal spot.
Have a Lot on $ wrapped up in motors, the overheat buzzer means too late !
Suggestions appreciated!
Thanks, Bart

1989 v6's
Complete rebuilds
.040 over...Swaines coated pistons
CDI coil packs
Just installed 2.7 heads rejected to 64D upper and 65D 5&6. Did not gut air box......yet !
New CDI power packs
Bob cones...28 Mazco RE wheels
Only had the boat out 2 weekends end of sumner.....Ran good after some tuning.
Steering was old and a little loosy-goosy.
Didn't take it past 75. This was before mods listed above.
Hope to wake these dinasours up a bit with the new heads.
