salvage motors from keys??

Hose down the p.head every time out.

I learned 2 things about boating when down there.

1. I'm not boating in Ohio anymore. Flush the motors, spray off the boat, brakes etc.

2. Buying blown up motors down there......., be verwy verwy cawful ��

In looking for a pair of 25" motors for a project up here in Ohio and there are no 25" motors up here.

I feel your pain. I scoured Craigslist in NY, OH, MI, PA, WI, etc. last summer, found a 25” in Missouri of all places. When it ventilated the block I had three options. Buy used out of FL with no warranty, buy a reman powerhead with 1 year warranty.... or get one from the only place in the Midwest with 25” motors..... Fon Du Lac, WI. I went with the third option. I can’t imagine trying to find twin 25”s up here. It’s all 20” bass boat motors and sterndrives up here.

You did right by passing on the stuff from Fla and probably rebuilds unless you knew history of builder.

I got a tip a few motors were coming to auction over here from Martin county sherriff office. Went there think they were 09 300 Etecs had 2000+hrs “runs” written on the cav plates. I chased a guy up to $6k once I realized he wouldn’t leave without the pair I made sure he paid for the 2nd one . No money to be made I couldn’t believe they would pay that much.

Always heard these were bullet proof motors - a bit thirsty - but super tough- I have only owned one for a short time- it was a beast
