Left and right rotation on single outboard

I am selling an outboard with a left hand gear case. I have a someone interested in it. I had told them that it does not really matter what rotation the gear case is as it should run the same. I don't want to mislead or take advantage if of someone. I have run both right and left on same boat. Only difference was the torque one left one right. This is a non performance boat running max of 60 mph. The advantage or disadvantage was props. I found less props but when I did the seem that left props to be 1/2 the price. Left cost less. Would like to know what other think? Please have experience on this not just a answer. Thanks

Your guesses are all correct. No difference.
    Ive run both.

A friend just sold an 80 MPH Stream w/a LH 250 Ficht on it. Zero issues.
I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.

I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.

The left hand box may not last quite as long and is probably more expensive to work on.
