With a promax and a 21’ Bullet it will run better with a standard no coned lower unit.

It’s too hard for the lu to hold the nose of the 22’ boat up.

If it’s a super light empty empty center console 21’er you “might” get a little better top speed with a sm but only gutted and running on fumes.

If it were me I'd go for the Sportmaster as it has a higher value than the others if the motor is the same price with any lower. Mike

Try the scoops on the water inlet, I think you can g t them from bobs. We’ve made them in the past.

The newer torqmaster lowers that are on the three liters have water inlets on the front of the nose, guys with 250 3l’s with those lowers usually run 1”- 3/4” below.

Your probubaly close at 1.5” below with the promax on that Hull, it might get a little better at 1.25 or 1” below but that’s gonna be it, maybe maybe 3/4” below if you are running really light

with any coned lower, running above pad you won’t lift the nose well , and below pad you’ll be dragging the nose losing speed.

You need 300hp on a 21’ Bullet to make use of a coned lower.

    Hope this helps.

I run a bullet also btw

I would get a Sporty if I was to do it again. My coned CLE works fine now, but I lost a good prop when the propshaft broke. I don't think propshaft failures are rare.
