260 fuel pump question
I’ve been trying to find out what the best aftermarket fuel pump is to run a 260. I’ve been told a bosh 984. Any ideas or suggestions. Thanks

You can get them at your local parts store for $150 on up Bosch 984 f9r 56 lb regulator be very careful when trying to go cheap on fuel pumps because when they go blow up it's very expensive lol

If my fuzzy memory is right, the bosch pump for a Mercedes 450sl is the one you want, and unless you've done some creative ECU changes, you need a 39# regulator not 56#

I will try and look up the parts. Just don’t want to damage the engines

There are better pumps out there then the high pressure bosch pumps. Brenden Powers got me some weldon pumps I believe and never had to replace one after the switch. I would call him to verify his recommendation. They are what he ran in the F! boats at the time. You also want to run the kinsler low micron filters or something comparable again ask Brenden his recommendation. As stated above there is nothing cheap about rebuilding nikasil blocks. Fresh rings, good fuel pressure, good fuel filtration, and 40:1 semi or full synthetic oil are all your friends with 260s. Looking forward to seeing your boat at the Suwanee run I hope.

Bosch pumps work great , filter before the pump . Over 450 hours on them with no issues . Carry a spare in your tool bag , weighs about the same as a beer .

The Bosch # 0 580 254 984 , the Wix filter #33482, this is for the very fine 13 micron inline filter that goes AFTER the pump, I would run some type of spin on water/fuel separator filter before the pump.
