what fuel lines/ hoses are you using on carb motors ?

I have found the size of fuel lines I need just need to work out what is best or atleast a good type of fuel hose to use.
this will be for 2 stroke pre-mix ...

I got told about tygon being good, but after reading a few places I am a bit put off about it swelling and being very soft and easy to puncture !!!
or is there a certain type of tygon that I am not seeing ?

I would prefer to go don the coloured fuel line route of either blue , Red , Yellow or orange ..
All fuel lines under the cover will be replaced and want something that will last atleast a couple of seasons and not go all stupid if I use ethanol
    at 10% etc .
I am fed up with the omc type pipe as that seems to rot on the inside and send crap to the carbs, but saying that its pretty old stuff now.

    any thoughts on this

Ive been using this with great success. No deterioration or dry rotting so far. Looks good also.

is that blue stuff like a silicone hose finish or dull finish ? and I notice it says you have to use certain end fittings ? can this be used as just a push fit or does it swell ?

Kinda dull finish, it uses push lock fittings. You push them on the fitting and it will not come back off, fittings act like a barb. You can put it on a regular fitting with regular clamp under low pressure. The hoses do not stretch much at all, so fitting diameter has to be real close to I.D. of hose to get it on. It is for use on higher pressures and all types of racing fuels. It holds up great to low pressure gasoline/ethanol.

Yep....push lok or twist lok is the only way to go. Tough stuff. Alcohol rated so ethanol won’t hurt it. I’ve run it for years. Even had an engine fire and the hoses survived where the tygon didn’t.

on my carbs its just a straight out pipe, no threaded end etc, so I would just be using simple hose clips. would this be ok with this pipe.

I am not seeing how I could put any fittings on my carbs other than just push it on and clamp it as per normal stuff.
same with the plastic fuel manifold as in the picture below

After replacing the fuel lines, do you need to prime/ bleed the system? Or is the fuel pump just going to take care of that?
