Most any thing can be fixed......is it worth fixing?... Drill hole tap and Good bolt. Don't know if the crank is too hard for that.

Problem now is how much more damage will be done just to get the flywheel off?

Heat the hub of the flywheel and two pybars and a whack on the crank with a hammer should get it off.

Why was the flywheel being pulled? No stator under there. Dress it up enough to get the nut back on and let it eat. It's junk anyway.

As chaz said see whats there once u get the wheel off.. doesn't merc use that big like .200 thick washer under the nut? may have enough threads to put a low profile aircraft 12 point nut on with a thinner washer orrr....wouldn't be that big of a deal for a good machinist to cut it off bore and thread it for a fine thread hard 12 point bolt, would be no different than the drive end of most 2 stroke jet ski and snowmobile engines with internal threads on the taper. But.... probably easier to find a used one since u have to pull it apart to fix it anyway. Dave
