will the late 80s-90s one piece heads fit 83 2.4 200hp block? I thought the older blocke were wider?

The 1983 on up till they get locating pins/fat block should work. The early 1978-1982? V6 motors had the head bolts rite close to the clys.

so the newer one piece heads will fit, but the block does not have the bosses drilled for the pins?

The later/1990? wide blocks have pins and wider heads. Some peps like the Hemi head but I think the flat top style puts the plug closer to the center of gas charge.
