What is the current state of Fountain? Mr. Fountain still out? Do they make very many boats? Mostly center consoles?

This is one of the best replies Iíve seen to these stories revolving around $250k+ new models and sums up my feelings. All these megabuck builds are a huge bore except perhaps for a select few who have deep pockets. I make a pretty good living but when the price tag goes north of $100k for a TOY I lose interest real fast.

    Mitchell Kaplan Northern KY University

The problem is no one understands the way to bring Baja back is not with a 250k or 300k 36 its with a 30 or 35k 20 the Baja brand was built on affordable good looking performance boats that got people in to move up the ladder, we have no new people able to afford to get in the world of performance boats except old tired units, This segment is a lot like what has happened to general aviation. No new affordable way to enter so a guy buys a old tired boat that eats him alive in service and gets out. What has happened to the 23 outlaw for 50k and the 26 outlaw for 60-70k

The Fountain website shows only two center console fishing boats and nothing else.

Michael, I believe this one is built by Big Thunder Marine and although Skater does vacuum bagging, I have not heard Skater do vacuum infusion(I'm not knocking Skater, I love Skater Powerboats). Big Thunder Marine has done multiple boats with the infusion process
