    225 promax vs 220 laser

Other than one motor being a 2.4 and the other a 2.5 what is the difference? Another words basic looks are the same on the efi. Can I put a 220 laser efi on a 2.5 ? Shave the heads a little ? Not afraid to get my hands dirty building.

220 laser is 5 petal, 225 promax is 7 petal. ECU is totally different.

220 Laser was rated at powerhead so more like 200 propshaft HP. Most Pro Maxes would put out 240+ hp at propshaft.

Do the promax motors need any type of crazy maintenance. My 260 would need rings every so often to keep fresh. I see lots of the promaxs for sale. Will be looking to purchase in the spring.
