Very cool looking exhaust! You'll need good ear protection. I'm wearing my two day old hearing aids as I type this. Yes, I had 2 engines done by them while the father (Marvin) was still alive. Son still drag races I believe. Feasible, yes. Fresh high octain fuel with Ace's 2 stroke additive. With big bore carbs I hooked up a momentary switch to the choke so I could cool the engine on deceleration. Good luck and keep the shiny side up!

I don't know enough, to leave well enough alone.

I scoped it and can see extensive exh. port work, and some intake work, relief's filled, from what i can see.. Big bore carbs, and composite reeds. Do HP#'s sound feasible? Been boating 40yrs. All crossflows. My first looper. Thanks for any reply.
Yep, Marvin and the boys were the **** back in the day.

285 at the prop is reallly good but easily done by the wizards in Louisiana.

Youll never go back to your cross flow.

Great thread Instigator! Thanks for that and the info regarding "Evolution Marine" mods... Can't wait to get the bottom done, flip it, and start rigging.

I started using grade 8 steel bolts on my lowers. I used SS locking nuts and painted when finished. Never had one brake again.
