paint decision that turned out great.

As i posted a couple weeks ago. I sold my boat about 11 months ago and had a bad case of sellers remorse. After buying 2 replacement boats that i only used each boat one time before selling one at a loss. The other is still online for sale. I was glad to get the call that i could buy 22ft Eliminator Daytona back.
Unfortunately it did not have a pampered 10 month time away. One phrase the new owner could not have ever yelled. " Damn That Was Close " Because he hit the dock every time he got near it.
With the color fade on my boat. Yellow, Orange to Red. I was reluctant to let the painter tow it away. But he pulled off some excellent color match and fade work. The craigslist painter i hired is the best that i have seen. Last pic is the starboard side that he had to match. Painter also painted the rear 4ft port side that is Red. He matched the Red really good also. Click image for larger version.

Looks great Dave! That shade of yellow is great - it’s not overly bright and looks classy. It must have been a little bittersweet to get it back, but also that the previous owner had not cared for it like you did. But it looks like even that was to your advantage, because it looks spectacular now!

I really think it was all in the painters hands when he mixed, remixed and played with the paint until he got it right. I am giving Dustin all the praise and also the cash payment he earned as well.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and family.

You are a trusting soul. You let a "Craig's list painter drive away with your boat", hopefully to be seen again... I'm not so sure I could have done that without an armed escort!!!

This guy obviously has pretty good luck, sold the eliminator, bought 2 other boats back to back but didn't like them sold them and bought the eliminator back all in 10 months, intentionally!

this 23ft mtr is not even close to the build and ride quality of the Eliminator. And pro max 300s are slugs compared to the Opti-Turds. the 300xs Opti-Turds have twice the punch from 50 to 100.

This ebbtide deck boat is the one i still have for sale. used it once. thought i was old enough to settle for a little comfort. may have worked if i did not hang out with the fast boat crowd in our area. Maybe i should have found new friends. It was kinda cushy laid back on the bench seating.

i did use it one day with the 270hp 305. then ordered a new volvo 320hp 350 from Michigan motors. installed it along with ecm reflash and a few other new parts. put the hose on and ran it for about 20 mins a couple times. never put it back in the water to see if it made a noticable difference.
