Double oil first 10 hours, i go easy on them the first hour just to make sure everything is happy and then i just cruise around at 3000 to 3500 varying rpm often for the next 2 hours, then i start throttling it hard for short bursts once or twice every half hour until the motor has about 8 or 10 hours on it....then i go to my normal oil mix and beat the **** out of it....thats my way....you will probably get a hundred different opinions on this....I have seen guys go out and beat them from day one and i have seen guys baby them like there made of paper mache for the first 10 to 15 hours....

32:1 of just normal Dino oil. Let it idle for an hour on the hose while checking for temp and the check valves that oil the upper bearing are working, timing and fuel pressure. Off to the ramp to idle-1200 rpm for another hour and set the tps where it's happy. Then go ride for 25 gallons of fuel varying from idle to 4500. Check water psi and head temps and plug color, make some short pulls and ride out another 25 gallons like before.

1st hr 32:1 oil not over 1/2 throttle or exceed 3500rpm, 2nd hr same but max of 4500rpm. Then only short bursts to max rpm for next 5 hrs.

I think if you would ask 100 people how to break in a rebuilt motor, you would probably get 100 different answers!!!
