I have a 12' light but strong little aluminum which I put a 25 Merc on for grins once a year. That combo is stupid fun , I trying to imagine how wild this will be.

Yes, I normally run a 6 Chrysler or 9.9 John on it. It's a blast with the 25 but real twitchy. It's a shallow flat light 12 , weighs much less than the 14 and you really need to sit with your weight forward but it's fun on a glass morning.

Funny my 12 with a 15 is my favorite boat I own. So much so it'll be what I take down for a week on the Suwanee next month.
The 35 may be fun to try but a nice 57 10 horse Johnson would be cool.

Flat bottoms rule, hey hey were talikin boats here. As kids we had more fun than ever in a 12 foot flat bottom stated out with a 6hp then 9.5 then to an 18 and finally a 1969 25 johnson best engine ever made light weight narrow cowling, that boat was cracked from end to end by the time we were done with it..

My brother has a floppy 12' tinny with an 8 HP Yamaha. Trimmed up solo WOT is scary. My favourite use for the rig is to tow me on a disk. Full throttle is the tight speed.

First chance to work on it since the move.
Seat configured and floor fitted and 1st coat of varnish.
Seat base doubles as transom knees.
Figure it should be good for 150 HP.
Or a 20H w/a tiller
Hope to be able to splash it this weekend.Last edited by Instigator; 07-25-2018 at 04:10 PM.
