Variations in connections between 1992 and 1997 Mercury 200 EFI

Just bought a 1997 motor to replace an older 92 model and sorting out the difference in in connections . The 92 has the electrical connections on the starboard side and the fuel connector and shift/throttle cables on the port side .
On the 97 all of the connections appear to come through the lower cowling on the port side . The motor I bought was missing the split block so I purchased a new one . Looking at the split block it looks like battery pos and neg cables thru the left slot , fuel line and electrical control cable thru the odd shaped middle hole ?, and shift /throttle cables thru the right slot .
Looks like no fuel disconnect fitting mounted to this split block like the 92 so the fuel line would have to mount directly to the inlet of the pulse pump ? Do I have this right ?

Yes your right on the fuel line. All the connections are the same for both motors just the main harness plug is in a different place no big deal if you need more length derig the from boat to motor there is extra length by the transom from where the harness comes and probably coiled up there. Those rubber split pan rubber blocks can be a pain in the ass its way easy to cut some of the rubber out and give you a lot more rom to rig the cables.
