ID:	395942These pictures are from yesterday. Its on a 1990 24 that we owned for a couple years in the mid 90s. The current owner noticed some blistering on the outside of hull just above the running surface and I advised him not to let it go any further. The core is out, ready to be replaced and bagged with composite. Then it will have independent tanks from Doug Wright glassed in place. The balsa on a skater becomes a real problem if it is bad under the tanks and the tanks are still good. When that happens you have to dig into it from the outside. Right now the rest of this boat still looks good and thankfully it was caught early.

Unfortunately the ethanol issue along with riggers not sealing holes and people hitting submerged objects all make up and create these issues. I am not going to mention any names but there is a 2 year old boat that was over 600K and already has some serious core rot issues. The boat has never been in the water for more then 24 hours at a time and stays in a climate controlled building of its own but when it was rigged, someone didn't chase things with a resin brush and now its a mess. The water intrusion happened from running and washing the boat "all things that you would expect to be able to do".

Yes, we are doing the rest of the transformation in the next few weeks. Its finally going to get back on the water as a "Skater done Wright". Hopefully it runs decent-I have a few pretty smart guys involved.
