Hey NP - i have that same Latham set up on my 3.0 liter - so the same wing plate will bolt up to the Optimax? (just in case i go that route)

I've got the wing plates for the XS motors. The steering came off my Pro-Max's. The single ram offshore pro-max leg has provisions for a wing plate right @ the bottom of the skirt.

The wing plates I used were single piece and they slide up on to the power head bolts. (cutting the lower bowls is a little spooky) there is a 3 piece wing plate set that would probably be a little easier to cut for and would leave more of the lower bowl intact. $ .02

Some of the more daring guys cut the entire lower part of the bowl off ... leaving their nuts exposed.
