    Nose cone question

im thinking about putting a nose cone on 1 of my 200 cases, being a welder and machinist for the past 20 years i have no doubt i have the skills to do the install myself, i need opinions on which cone to use, I've seen several different cones available from different venders so i need to know which one do i get?

Ditto, just choose the cone for your application, the welding is easy, especially for you, alignment of the cone is the time consuming part, before you tack it

I have done well with Bob's. Do you need a cone? If you have good water pressure and are below 80 mph, the cone might cost speed.

yes, with my current setup i have to run a LWP my jack plate wont go down far enough to run a standard case even with the top 4 holes plugged, with the other plate (6" blazer jack plate) i have i could run a standard case but was only getting 66 gps, i run a cle now with a 14" magnum jack and im getting 72 gps but was told the 200 case with a cone was faster and more stable than the cle, and was told i should just cone my cle and that would be even better but im not cutting up this case, its to nice for that I've got several 200 cases so its only gonna cost me the cone and time, figured its worth a try heck i might get in the upper 70's then

I prefer JCs cones, but the Bobs are a close second.

You need some set up work, props, etc. You don't need a cone unless you are running in to the 80's. The coned lower is slowing you down.

Does JC have his own cone? I thought he just installed them...or used to. I have one with a tab and it is a work or art!!!

I have purchased nose cones from JC and had him do a torquemaster for me. He does great work and you can have the water pickups of your choice in both number and location.

Yes, I bought one from JC 2 years ago and installed it myself. His pricing was competitive with Bobs.
