28" mercury promax

9 out of 10 due to a small scratch, other than that it's like new with little time. Has 4 factory PVS holes and 4 additional PVS holes. I bought it on SNF but can't swing it. Bought for $500, sell it for $500.

Why the additional PVS holes and who drilled them? You say that you can't swing it, what are you running? Thank you.

They were drilled when i bought it. I am running a 250 Pro-SX on a Talon F-20. Typically i can get my RPM close to the limiter with a 28", but with the ProMax i'm around 300 RPM's low.

Have you ever tried a Hydromotive Q4 X-OB? I've got a 27 I'm looking to trade for something. I'm running a Bullet 21xrd w/250 pro xs w/1.75 gears and I was at 6000 rpm with the Hydro and think I need a larger prop.

28 promax will be to much for your rig. Get a 27.

Is primal that much harder to turn than a Hydromotive? I ran a 28 Razor 4xl over 5900 rpm also.

Probably would have thought about your 27", but just picked up a 21 Paramount. Plan to bolt my 250 on it and sell the Talon. I'll never be able to swing that big of a prop.
