    1970 Starcraft Gelcoat Question

So being Starcraft made boats and my RV is a Starcraft, I'm going to ask a gelcoat question, just pretend its a big boat.
So if you zoom in on the front corner just under the front window, you will see a spot about 2x3" Its about 1/8" deep. It was where the radio antenna base went. I bought a quart of some cream gelcoat with hardener but its too runny. It'd take 500 layers to get it up to thickness.
What can i add to make it thicker?
Also if you look at the closeup photo. There are a series of very small holes, can i fill them with gelcoat if i make it thicker somehow then sand them down.
Once buffed, the RV is actually the color of the bumpers. Its been sanded with 1000 grit right now. Its how i bought it.
Although the Gelcoat is extremely thick, I believe the dark streaks in the long con-caved area even with the headlights is where the gelcoat was thin. Thats my guess. But i really don't have a clue. Originally it was where the paint stripe was.

If I don't ask any questions, I'll never learn anything.

Use some cab-o-sil (fumed silica) to thicken the gell, (mayonaise consistancy) add some wax solution, or cover with some cellophane to get it to fully harden. . Apply just enough to fill the holes and let it set up. Sand smooth with some fine sand paper (220 grit) and then use your straight gell with either the wax or some cellophane again. You can sand smooth with very fine paper like 400 grit then 1000 then buff out with an aggressive compound like 3m heavy duty. Method #2 (more advanced) is to build up and sand smooth and then spray some thinned gell over the area to blend into the surrounding gell, then use 1000 grit, buff and wax. If you have thin gell areas the only way to cover large areas is to spray, sand and buff.
