Matching Talon 22's
As many of you know, John Hanson's white with black windshield Talon 22 SS with a 400R has been a big hit up and down this side of the US. John has run this boat in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky and Ohio.
Now John's new 2018 Talon 22 XL model will house a 500 cubic inch big block inboard and will match his SS model. The bottom is complete and the deck just came out of the mold and ready to be trimmed.
We will keep everyone posted towards the competition and water testing of this boat. Thank you, Todd

I'd love an inboard talon. Beautiful.

I’m really liking the updated dash. With the advent of all the large format flat screens the update really gives the buyer more options. I know it wasn’t easy but well done!

Keep us updated with this project. Would love to see what numbers you see with which props. All I have tried with my 22 IO are different size Bravo props. I have an imco -1 lower, what will this have? Great job-Frank

I will get some pictures posted today. Since this is the first batch of XL's going together, one being an inboard and one being an outboard, they have taken more time than I imagined. Plus the quantity of good help is almost extinct anymore. We have been very busy making patterns for both. When we bought the Talon molds, the patterns that came with the SS were junk, so new ones were made. There were no patterns for the XL's, so we are having to make two sets, io and ob. Thanks Todd

Here are a couple quick pics of stern drive Talon 22 XL. I also included pics of the multi colored XL getting the 400R and you can see the changes we did back at the hatch area. We filled it in.

You can see what the stock sides look like. Not one drop of bondo or fairing material was used, all fiberglass and gelcoat.

Surprised that the tanks are that far forward on an io boat with the Cg already a little to the bow ? Hf ...
