Interesting math, I purchased my first ultra high performance boat and motor a little over two years ago, and I would calculate my cost per hour at about $3,000.00 per hour. That does not take into account the equity I have developed. Should I sell it all today, it would be more like 1,000.00 per hour. I would be curious to know what the average is for us scream and flyers. Maybe I will start a thread, sort of depressing, but I read a Meme this morning..... it said "I spend half my money on boats and beer, the rest I waste" feels like there is some truth to that for me.

Just got back from the ft myers boat show where I got to speak with one of the Merc reps who is back and forth between here and the corporate offices, he did confirm that there's a dying market for race props..however, he stated that mercury has no plans of dropping the opti from its line up, he said "mercury would catch hell from its bass fishing crowd" as well as "until the govt restricts us to the point we can't produce 2 strokes anymore, we will not be handing that business off to evinrude". Figured I'd share this as it brought on a smile. He also passes the 2 mark 60's from the lake X 2x around the world on display in a hallway at the headquarters when he's up north.
