How would you vent the crankcase if you had your way..air box, overboard or what else?

The motor I bought in 2006. Has about 1500 hours. At wot..6000rpm it oiled the air box and would spread oil all over the inside the cowl. I am in between prop sizes so I went slightly under propped. It always did this but as we get older..I mean the motor it leaks more and more and the oil is increasing. I went overboard with the vent tube but thats just not right. Oh..its my yamaha f2.5hp... 18ft canoe motor...

I could fit inside the cowl a spice jar..vent the cap and stick hose in it.

Yea..not much scream and fly there..but it does go about 13 mph..

It has splash lube and I always figured it was pushing oil into the head since 5750 rpm is redline..the case is vented there in the head.
