    78’ sleek craft aristocrat

Lookin to see if anyone is into old sleeks , no one in my area is interested in this type of boat. Most likely going up for sale , I have a son now and need a bigger boat Click image for larger version.

    Hi,

What is your asking price? Are the stringers, floor and transom original?

I believe it is all original, but is in very good shape.
No soft spots in the floor. Has a 2000 mercury 3.0 250 hp. New epoxy clear over the top and seats redone last year. Hydraulic steering as well. Has been kept inside since I’ve owned it

Does anyone know the value of this boat , I’ve not seen another like it and unsure of what a fair price for it would be for the condition it’s in. Any info would be very much appreciated. Thank you

I think the boat is fairly priced, but might be a tough sell this time of year. BTW, I love Sleekcrafts!!

Mostly comes down the engine's value, 40 year old hulls are tough to price. How many hours on it? Was the cowling repainted? Looks like a 25" shaft too?

460 ish on the hours I believe on the motor. What happened was I got a efi Bridgeport from a “friend”
that melted a piston at 5800 rpms bout ten hours after he rebuilt it. Thought I had a sweet race motor, but after he said he wouldn’t do a damn thing about it I was less than happy. After I nearly had a melt down I encouraged him to make it right, which ended me up with this motor to get me back in the water. It is a 25” counter rotation motor, not ideal but it works pretty well. Definitely makes the boat jump out of the water. I’ve replaced both high and low pressure fuel pumps , tps , map sensor and a new ign ecu as the old one had a poor connection and wouldn’t start a few times after getting the motor. Have had no issues since replacing those items. As far as it being a 25” I bought 10” longer t-6 alum angle to replace the two the motor bolts to. 5”s to accomadate the taller motor and 5”s so the angles go the full length of the two angles bolted to the transom. I took it out for a test run to check out my rig which it worked well I thought with no odd engine movement under full power. I couldn’t find any info on the internet about making the jack plate taller , so I just did it

Ya, I would sell separately if it were me and you'll probably get more money that way too. My 2 cents.

Good looking boat, I owned one a few years back, great handling boat. I sold it pretty much same condition as yours, no motor. Boat and trailer were in excellent condition. I believe I got $3500 for it. Good luck.
